ULTRAFILTRATION-UF
UF is an electro-plated paint recovery system.
UF is a membrane process that can decompose substances in a liquid under pressure, mainly based on molecular weight and shape. Under the pressure difference, large molecular weight materials are removed from a UF membrane as concentrates while solvent and small molecular weight materials are removed as permeate.
In e-coat paint systems, UF permeate is water and paint solvents. Permeate paint is used in the rinse line. This recovery method is provided by a closed loop rinsing system. Conductivity of the paint is reduced by obtaining permeate.
Electro-coating terms:
Anionic Dye
It is a negatively charged dye that forms a film on the anode in the electrocoating system.
Anode A
Positive electrode.
ATD(Anti-telescoping device)
Tool attached to each end of spiral membranes.
Cathode A
Negative electrode.
Cationic Dye
It is positively charged and forms a film form on the cathode in the electro coating system.
Closed Loop Wash
It is an electroplating paint auxiliary system using permeate taken from the process rinsing system.
ED Membrane
Spiral winding membrane used for Electro Coating.
E-coat
It is an electrochemical process that occurs as a result of applying voltage difference to two opposed electrodes immersed in an organic substance solution. Organic matter moves towards an electrode and forms a film on the electrode.
Permeate
Solution consisting of water, solvents and dissolved substances separated from the feed solution by UF.
